Escape Room 101
+ I Keep HEARING ABOUT ESCAPE ROOMS ON TV AND FROM FRIENDS, BUT, I'M STILL CONFUSED. WHAT IS THIS?
Escape rooms are the newest trend in the United States. Basically, you and your friends will be immersed into a themed story/adventure. You'll have to work together to figure out how to escape the room.
+ ...
Still confused? How about this. Did you see that Nicholas Cage movie, National Treasure? Remember how he kept finding clues and putting everything together? Or, what about The Da Vinci Code? Did you see that? Blues Clues? What about that show with Benedict Cumberbatch???
An escape room is sort of like that.
+ THE MAIN CHARACTERS IN THOSE MOVIES ARE REALLY SMART. ARE ESCAPE ROOMS THAT HARD?
No, they won't be that hard, but, they are definitely challenging. The success rates for our rooms range from 20% to 40%.
+ WHAT IF I CAN'T FIGURE OUT THE FIRST PUZZLE AND GET STUCK FOR THE ENTIRE HOUR ON ONE PUZZLE?
That won't happen. Just ask for a hint. Easy, right?
+ ARE YOU REALLY GOING TO LOCK ME IN A ROOM?
No, that's a myth. Escape rooms don't literally lock you in a room. The door you are trying to open is locked, but the door you entered through is always unlocked.
+ WHO PLAYS ESCAPE ROOMS?
Locals, people visiting Columbia, work groups, church groups, college students, couples... the list goes on and on...
+ THIS SOUNDS LIKE IT REQUIRES A LOT OF TEAMWORK. IS THIS GOOD FOR TEAM BUILDING?
Yes, in fact, we have corporate team building groups at The Final Door all the time. Companies such as Wal-Mart, Verizon, JP Morgan, Wells Fargo, and more have used The Final Door for team building. We also get many groups from Ft Jackson.

+ WHAT ABOUT KIDS? IS THIS GOOD FOR FAMILIES?
Escape rooms are great for families! Our newest game, Down The Rabbit Hole, is designed specificially for families with kids. The Vampyr is also family-friendly.
Under 5 years of age are not allowed in any of our games.
The Sacrifice and Blackout have some creepier and darker themes, so, we recommend mature players for those games.
+ IS THIS A HAUNTED HOUSE?
No, The Final Door is not a haunted house. We have some darker themed rooms, and some rooms (specifically, Blackout and The Sacrifice) can be described as scary, but, no, we are not a haunted house. If you're really nervous, book The Vampyr and/or Down The Rabbit Hole; they are not scary.
+ OKAY, YOU HAVE ME CONVINCED. HOW MUCH DOES THIS COST?
$32.99 per person for groups of 3 or more.
$32.99 to 49.49 per person for groups of 2. Blackout will always be the best priced for two-person groups.
All of our games are private experiences at no additional charge.
+ HOW DO I PURCHASE TICKETS? CAN I JUST SHOW UP?
Of course, we will get you into a game if possible if you just show up, but we HIGHLY recommend making a reservation. If you just show up, we may not have a game or staff member available, so, at minimum, you should call before you leave.
When you are ready to book, you can call or click any BOOK NOW button and follow the prompts.
+ OKAY, BUT HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I BOOK?
If you want to come on a Friday or Saturday, you should book as soon as possible. We are often turning customers away on the weekend.
+ WHEN ARE YOU OPEN?
We are open every day. Click the button below to see our availability in real time.
+ HOW MANY PEOPLE DO I NEED TO PLAY?
You can play with as few as 2 people and as many as 8 people. If you have more than 8 people, you can book multiple games.
You seem pretty cool so I'll give you an insider's tip. Groups of four or more are much more likely to escape than 2 person groups. If you can, try to get at least one more couple to play with you.
+ OKAY, I ONLY BOOKED 4 OF THE 8 SPOTS. WILL PEOPLE I DON'T KNOW BOOK THE OTHER 4 SPOTS?
No. All of our games are private, so you don't have to worry about strangers joining your game. The remaining 4 ticket you didn't purchase can be purchased at the door if you invite more friends to play.
+ WHAT SHOULD I WEAR? SHOULD I BRING ANYTHING?
Dress comfortably and be ready for an adventure. All you need is your brain... and reading glasses for some of you wiser ones.
+ HOW EARLY SHOULD I ARRIVE? HOW LONG WILL I BE THERE?
Be sure to arrive at least 15 minutes early. Just like at the movie theater, the game starts with or without you.
Plan on being here at least an hour and a half.
